Keir Starmer joined International Work Camp in Czechoslovakia in 1986 at age 23. Camp restored Nazi massacre memorial in Lidice. Czechoslovakian StB secret police monitored camp as part of anti-NATO active measures. StB collected full personal details on Starmer including passport photo and visa. Previous 1982 camp had StB spy as supervisor profiling foreigners for future use. Experts say Communists targeted idealistic Western youth like Starmer for long-term intelligence exploitation. Other participants included future European Commission senior and City law firm partner. Starmer had just finished Oxford law postgraduate before barrister training.
