Fu Hao was one of 64 wives of Shang king Wu Ding. She died around 1200 BCE. She personally led military campaigns and won victories. She served as high priestess and oracle interpreter. King entrusted her with religious rituals despite his monopoly. Her tomb discovered intact in 1976 near Yin capital. Only unlooted royal Shang tomb. Wooden chamber 5m by 3.5m with lacquered coffin. Grave goods include 755 jade items. 564 bone objects. 468 bronzes. 63 stones. 11 potteries. 5 ivories. 6900 shells as currency. 16 human skeletons. 6 dog skeletons. Name on 170 oracle bone inscriptions. No Zhou sources mention her.
