Traffic police checked 5881 school vehicles between 7am and 9:30am. 36 drivers had blood alcohol over 40mg/100ml limit. Some drivers were en route to pick up children. Others already had students aboard. Vehicles seized immediately. Drivers booked for drunken driving. Driving licences confiscated and sent for cancellation.
