Applicants skip RTO tests if enrolled in recognized driving schools. Schools issue licenses for two-wheelers and four-wheelers. Schools need 1 acre land for light vehicles, 2 acres for heavy. Trainers require Grade 12 or 5 years experience plus traffic knowledge. Training minimum 29 hours over 4 weeks with theory and practical. Practical covers roads, highways, uphill, downhill, parking, reversing. Online application via MoRTH site with documents and fees. Offline via RTO form submission, tests, fees. Learner's license requires supervision, valid nationwide. Permanent license needs age 18, 30-day learner's, passed tests, medical fit. Minimum qualification 8th grade or read/write in official language. Paper licenses still valid but upgrade recommended.
