Applicants visit sarathi.parivahan.gov.in for new driving license. Commercial driving license valid 5 years from issue. Hazardous licenses now valid 3 years. Private driving license valid 20 years or till age 40 whichever earlier. After 40 driving license issued for 10 years then 5 years. Non-transport under 30 valid till 40. Check status at sarathi.parivahan.gov.in select state then application status. Contact zonal office with original documents. Multiple appointment dates allowed per state policy. Motor driving test required but vehicle optional. All under state jurisdiction.
