Honoring Professor Sofia Kovalevskaya, nicknamed the "princess of mathematics," her contributions to the development of partial differential equations and their applications, but also her involvement in the fight for equal access to education and jobs for women, is the goal of a conference to be held in Krakow between August 31 and September 2.
