Seventy years ago, Poland entered the atomic age with the establishment of the Institute for Nuclear Research (IBJ). This event ushered in decades of innovative research in nuclear physics. The anniversary is being celebrated at a Wednesday seminar in Warsaw by the main heirs and continuators of the IBJ's mission: the National Center for Nuclear Research and the Institute of Chemistry and Nuclear Technology.
