The Proba-3 mission will allow observation of the central solar corona, so far studied only during rare and brief solar eclipses. This part of the corona is where coronal mass ejections - clouds of plasma and magnetic fields ejected from the Sun - and the solar wind are unleashed, Dr. Marek Steszlicki told PAP.
