Polymer molecules of any architecture, e.g. combs, stars, rings, have been possible for years thanks to the groundbreaking ATRP method discovered by Prof. Krzysztof Matyjaszewski, among others. Now scientists are showing how such reactions can be carried out even more simply - in the presence of oxygen, under almost domestic conditions.
