Record-breaking quantum memory constructed at UW

A quantum memory capable of simultaneously storing 665 quantum states of light has been built at the Quantum Memory Laboratory at the University of Warsaw's Department of Physics, reports the UW's Department of Physics in a press release sent to PAP. A cloud of laser-cooled atoms was used for this purpose.
