TOR researchers make way for world's most accurate clock

Scientists, including a Pole, studying the element thorium, have taken a major step toward creating an optical nuclear clock that would be up to 100 times more accurate than the best timepieces. More accurate clocks could, among other things, improve the precision of GPS in the future.
