The production of nanocorundum, commonly used in, among other things, automotive catalytic converters, has so far been associated with many difficulties. The situation has changed with the presentation of a new method for producing nanocorundum, developed in a German-Polish collaboration between scientists from Mülheim an der Ruhr and Krakow.
