Researchers from the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Warsaw University of Technology have unveiled an improved variety of perovskite. Laboratory tests have shown that photovoltaic cells built from it are significantly more efficient than cells made from the original form of the material.
