Go to the source page
How to detect changes in the structure of DNA that can cause genetic diseases has been shown by physicists from the UW. They used an organic dye, a laser and the effects of light interacting with matter. The results of their work may find applications in genetic diagnosis or the diagnosis of dementia diseases.
