Mateusz Zarzeczny from the Faculty of Physics at the University of Warsaw was awarded the Gold Medal of Chemistry 2025, with his winning thesis "Multilevel control of chiroptical properties in morphologically chiral liquid crystalline phases." This year, as many as 61 theses from 15 universities were submitted for the competition, the organizers said.
