Gravitational waves from a so-called sub-giant, which has been slowly stripped of its envelope by a nearby supermassive black hole, can be emitted for up to millions of years. And the frequency of these waves falls exactly within the range that the future LISA space observatory will record," describes the team with Polish participation.
