Metal ball collision experiment: thermal oxidation reaction of iron

The experiment shows how the collision of two metal balls can generate enough heat to burn a hole in the paper through a thermal reaction. By colliding the balls, a thermal oxidation reaction of iron is created, reaching temperatures of more than 4,500 degrees Fahrenheit.
