A study published in the National Bureau of Economic Research on October 30, 2023 and presented at two NBER research conferences [here and here] (one on law and economics and the other on crime) titled "Are U.S. Juries Racially Discriminatory? Evidence from Over a Quarter of a Million Jury Crime Cases," is the largest jury study ever conducted, analyzing more than 300,000 felony cases over 3 decades to see if juries engage in racial discrimination. The conclusion? Their dataset included "every case filed by a jury from February 1990 to July 2022" in the state of Texas. in the state of Texas, making it the largest jury study ever! (And it's not even close)
