The Augustow Manhunt, known as ''little Katyn,'' was a brutal pacification operation carried out by the Soviets in Poland after World War II. The repression affected not only Home Army soldiers, but also civilians who might have supported the Polish underground. Victims of torture and interrogation were left without information about the fate of their loved ones.
