September 28, 2022, data for 2020. In 2011, they accounted for 54%. While the trend for the general population is downward, certain races, ethnic minorities and male cohabitating mothers (MSM) continue to account for a disproportionately large share of HIV infections. Approx. 13% of those infected are unaware of their infection.
