How many taxes is the mining industry burdened with? According to calculations by the Mining Chamber of Industry and Commerce, there are 34. The majority, 65% of the costs borne by the industry, are taxes and contributions for employees, including: social insurance, health insurance, personal taxes, FP, FGSP and FEP, PFRON. On top of that are taxes, fees and penalties for municipalities, then VAT, excise taxes, fees and penalties for the National Environmental Protection and Water Management Fund and the Environmental Protection and Water Management Fund, corporate income tax, profit distribution and dividends. Another payment is geological information sharing fees. The average charge per ton of coal exceeds PLN 100 (in 2018).
