During New Year's Eve in Berlin, there were 1,453 ''silvestertypischen'' crimes involving 670 suspects, including 406 Germans and 264 people without German citizenship. 44 police officers were injured. Among the victims were both foreigners and German citizens. Many of the perpetrators were Turks, Syrians and Afghans, but also people from other parts of the world.
